RAZOR SOLUTIONS
The razor, equipped with a series of 21 knives turning at more than 3000 RPM, is attached to a 22 ton-excavator. The razor has a length of cut of 57"and can shred trees exceeding 12" in diameter, but it is more effective with trunks of 5" or less.

Advantages
This type of tool, which revolutionizes the techniques of land clearing, has several advantages. First, thanks to its system of knives, the razor shreds trees in fine chips compared to rotary blades, which shred in pieces (slashes). Only one person is necessary to operate of the razor. No other employee is necessary to clean or collect debris. This method of operation can save the customer up to 50% compared to conventional methods. Using the razor also saves the trees and shrub, in addition to supporting reforestation. After passage of the razor, only a layer of chips remains on the ground. Several studies have shown that a layer of chips covering the ground maintains a higher percentage of moisture in the soil during hot summer days, thus helping young trees to survive and pushing back non-desired plant species for the first 2 or 3 years.
Using a razor is the most effective, economic and ecological method of land clearing. This innovative tool can be used in the forest, municipal, agricultural, commercial, industrial and residential sectors.
